“The response we’ve received from the local community regarding our efforts has been amazing. We cannot thank Owen Lei and King 5 News enough for their generous coverage of our efforts.” Steven Paul Matsumoto, Producer

During the event #Fashion4Haiti shirts will be offered at a special event price of $25 each, or two for $40.

#Fashion4Haiti Gets King 5 News Coverage

by Steven Paul Matsumoto on January 16, 2010

We are exticed that our #Fashion4Haiti initiative to raise money and awareness for World Vision’s relief efforts for children and families affected by the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti has attracted local media attention.  Our Producer Steven Paul Matsumoto was interviewed Thursday by Owen Lei, a reporter for King 5 news, after announcing the initiative the previous evening on Twitter.

The piece, which aired Friday January 14th at 5:00 p.m., also featured two other grass roots efforts to aid relief efforts.  A car wash in West Seattle organized by Realtor Michaelle Crovisier of Keller Williams, and One Days Wages Executive Director Eugene Cho.

The response to the broadcast was immediate with orders coming into the #Fashion4Haiti website within minutes of airing.  We would like to thank Owen Lei of King 5 News for the opportunity to share our small effort to help the Haitian people.  We espicially want to thank the entire team at STT-Sports for adjusting their production schedule and rushing our order through.  STT’s graphic designer Michael did an outstanding job taking our rough concept art and creating a beautiful shirt design.

Important ECFW Announcement

by Steven Paul Matsumoto on December 23, 2009

There have been a lot of very exciting things happening recently with Emerald City Fashion Week.  The most notable of which is our Producer, Steven Paul Matsumoto’s red carpet interview at the HP Envy Dr. Dre’s Laptop launch party at Amber restaurant and lounge earlier this month.  The event was live streamed on Justin.tv to an online audience of over 70,000 viewers.  You can see a portion of that interview below, provided you’re patient enough to wade through some great local musical talent to the 29 minute mark.  There is a very important announcement regarding some changes to the ECFW schedule.

Watch live video from Independent Video Show on Justin.tv
In addition to this wonderful National exposure for Emerald City Fashion Week we are making great strides in assembling our newly formed Board of Directors.  We have also added a new Marketing Coordinator to the ECFW team.  We will be profiling the new Board members and our Marketing Coordinator in future posts.  Needless to say the entire Emerald City Fashion Week team is very excited about the direction we are going and the amazing support we are receiving from both the Seattle and Bellevue communities.
